As a member of UARS, you can participate in our open joint training sessions and book boats at other times in your category, alone or with other members. You can also race for us and use our indoor facilities.
Our memberships include a 200 kr mandatory membership fee which has to be paid for a complete membership. Only rowers who have paid the membership fee may use the club’s equipment and enjoy other benefits of the club. The Members who have not paid the fee by 1st May will be regarded as requesting the termination of their membership and will be removed from the database.
If you have any questions please send an email to our treasurer.
We have four different ways to become an active member, please contact the treasurer if you have any questions about these categories:
Full year Membership: which means a calendar year: 1/1 until 31/12
Half year membership: which means a calendar half year: 1/1 until 30/6 or 1/7 until 31/12
which also differ between active rowers, students (no PhD-students) and junior rowers.
The rolling membership always ends with the 31/12. Hence it is possible to become a member on the 1/5, or the 1/11. However, it is not possible to be member for only one month.
Short time / Summer rowing allowance: 30 consecutive days to use the club’s equipment, without the racing license or the insurance. Please get in touch with rowing captain beforehand so we can ensure that you know rowing well enough.
