UARS learn-to-row program autumn 2025 accepts applications!

Learn to row with us!

As a new rower you need to go through our learn-to-row program to learn the basics of rowing and become a part of our community. After the program you will be a member of our club for all of 2025 (value 1500 SEK) and can continue training, racing and participating in all club events on and off the water. The course costs 3000 SEK (students excluding Ph.D. candidates: 2000 SEK) and you can get a receipt to claim health&exercise benefits from your employer (“friskvårdsbidrag”).

The course will take place over three weekends in September during Saturday and Sunday mornings:

  • Sep 13th: On land: the fundamentals of the rowing stroke and intro to UARS.
  • Sep 14, 20, 21 & 27: Rowing in team boats with instruction and coaching from experienced rowers.
  • Sep 28th: Longer outing, bringing together the parts of the course and “graduating” as an UARS member.
